Bioderma Atoderm Gel douche is a gentle, hypoallergenic, foaming cleanser formulated for use on dry, sensitive skin.

Unlike many of the cleansers on the market, this gel is soap-free and contains none of the allergens or irritants such as parabens and colours that can further dry out skin. This means that it is well tolerated, suitable for sensitive skin, and can even be used safely by infants and children.

Used regularly, it will help soothe the skin and reduce the feelings of tightness that are often associated with dry skin conditions. Sometimes, with dry skin, the protective cutaneous barrier has been damaged, which leads to excessive moisture loss. This gel respects the skin barrier and helps to moisturise the skin, leaving it feeling more balanced, softer, and smoother after each shower.

The gel has a distinctive but natural blue colour, a light fragrance, and a rich, creamy formula that is non-greasy and rinses off easily. Use it in the bath or shower as the first line of defence in the skincare routine. It can be used on the face as well as the body.

Bioderma Atoderm Gel douche should be used once or twice every day for best results. Apply when in the bath or shower to wet skin on the face, hands, or body. Massage the gel into a foam; then rinse off and pat gently dry with a towel.

Although Bioderma Atoderm Gel douche is safe for use by children under supervision, it should be kept well out of their reach.

Use only externally and cleanse around the eyes with extra caution, avoiding contact.

This shower gel may make shower tiles or bathtub surfaces more slippery than usual, so be extra careful when getting into or out of the bath or shower. Always rinse the residue away after use.

Check the ingredients for potential allergies before using this gel. If there is an unexpected skin reaction, stop using it and consult with a medical professional.

Side Effects

Research & Evidence

For people with Psoriasis

HelloSkin’s experts could not find clinical data on Bioderma Atoderm Gel douche in psoriasis. However, the product contains glycerin which is found naturally in the skin where it helps attract and retain water from the deeper skin layers, thereby helping hydrating and moisturising the skin (1).

In dry skin conditions, including psoriasis, water loss from the upper skin layer is linked to a reduced skin barrier function, which may be worsening the disease symptoms (2).
