Description

A-Derma Exomega Cleansing Oil is designed to replace common soaps, shower gels, and other cleansers that can aggravate skin conditions.

Because of the soap and other irritants present in many cleansing products, dry skin problems are often worsened with their use. Irritation can cause scratching that leads to the risk of broken skin and infection.

This cleansing oil instead uses the natural and proven emollient properties of oat extract to help soothe and protect the skin. As it cleanses, the oat extract combines with essential fatty acids (Omega-6) and glycerin to hydrate and nourish the skin, reduce itch and inflammation, and protect the skin by helping to restore the natural epidermal barrier.

The oil is a smooth and silky formula that is balanced to the pH of the skin, and is mild enough to be used every day. It is suitable for children and even babies to use, as well as adults, as part of the daily cleansing routine.

Directions

A-Derma Exomega Cleansing Oil should be used in the shower as you would use a normal soap or shower gel. Gently massage the oil into wet skin to form a lather. Clean as normal and then rinse; finally, pat dry with a soft towel.

You can also use this oil in the bath. Just add a small amount to the water, cleanse, rinse, and pat dry.

Following cleansing, you might like to apply another emollient or moisturiser to the skin to increase the intensity of skincare.

Precautions

Always keep A-Derma Exomega Cleansing Oil away from children. Use only externally. When using on the face, take care not to get any in the eyes. If this happens accidentally, flush out with plenty of clean water.

If you have a known hypersensitivity to any ingredient, refrain from use. Stop using in the event of an unwanted skin reaction and consult a medical professional for an alternative product.

Side Effects

There are no recognised side effects of using A-Derma Exomega Cleansing Oil. No interactions with other medicines have been identified or reported.

Research & Evidence

For people with Psoriasis

HelloSkin’s experts were unable to find any clinical data on the use of A-derma Exomega Cleansing Oil in people with psoriasis. However, this product contains glycerin which is found naturally in the skin where it helps attract and retain water from the deeper skin layers, thereby helping hydrating and moisturising the skin (1).

In dry skin conditions, including psoriasis water loss from the upper skin layer is linked to a reduced skin barrier function, which may be worsening the disease symptoms (2).
